The IdGL conducts numerous research projects addressing the history, culture, and memory of German minorities in Southeastern Europe. Many of these projects are funded through successfully acquired third-party funding, which underscores the academic quality and relevance of the work. The academic staff are currently working on twelve research projects in five research areas.
