The IdGL (Institute for Danube Swabian History and Regional Studies) is advised by an Academic Advisory Board composed of scholars who are recognized experts in the fields of international Southeast European studies, library and archival science, and knowledge transfer. The Advisory Board plays a central role in ensuring the quality of the institute’s work. Its members are appointed for a term of four years by the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg upon the institute’s recommendation and may serve a maximum of two terms. According to the institute’s statutes, the chairmanship of the board is always held by a member of the Rectorate of the University of Tübingen. The board consists of regular and honorary members.
At the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Board for the 2022–2025 term, the following members were appointed:
