Repositories "Danube Swabian Homeland Books" and "DoVaria"
The IdGL is building two online repositories with Danube Swabian homeland books and general Danube Swabian texts in collaboration with the University Library of Tübingen. An institutional repository guarantees permanent access to the digital copies and thus offers a great advantage over privately run platforms and websites. Documents stored in repositories are found by common search engines (e.g. Google), but are also evaluated by scientific search engines for documents (e.g. BASE).
The aim is to make as many digital copies of homeland books and other texts with Danube Swabian themes available in one place and available for free use.
The repositories can be found on the website of the University Library Tübingen.
Licence-free digital reproductions
License-free digital copies are included in the catalogue, so that users now have access to over 1200 digital books and journals in full text, which they can research and read on any computer. This offering is constantly being expanded.
Link collection
As an additional service, the library offers an extensive and diverse collection of links (https://digilink.digibib.net/cgi-bin/digimod/show.pl?sigel=IDGL) from the Danube Swabian region. This includes links to scientific and cultural institutions as well as to reference works and portals as well as to clubs, local communities and private websites. The collection is continually updated and supplemented.
Licensed databases
DFG-funded national licences

The DFG (German Research Foundation), together with several libraries in Germany, has licensed various online databases and electronic journals (or journal archives) and makes them available free of charge to all scientific institutions and private individuals. In this context, the IdGL offers the following databases for in-house use.
Central an Eastern European Online Library (C.E.E.O.L.)
Users can continue to access the content of C.E.E.O.L. free of charge if they register as individual users at www.nationallizenzen.de. In addition, this offer is linked to a license of the FID East, East Central and Southeast Europe, which means that not only the archive volumes up to 2009, but also the current contents are available through this individual registration.
